Coated Bearings have those same balls installed on coated, hardened-steel races for longer life and less bearing drag. Put more of your energy into forward motion by reducing frictional drag wherever you can. CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. Lots of things slow bikes down; bearings shouldn't be among them. CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings typically have frictional drag of 0.3-0.4 watts per set. That's in the range of a 75% drag reduction compared to standard bottom brackets. The bearings last at least 3x longer than other bearings. Coated bearings have even less drag. These bearings come packed with LongLife Grease, best for muddy conditions. For less drag when riding in cleaner environs, you can coat the bearings with either All Round Grease or lowest drag TT and Track Grease, which is designed for clean conditions. BBright is the Cervelo bottom bracket standard found on most of their frames, save the P5. In order to fit Shimano and FSA cranks into this oversized shell, this bottom bracket, complete with CeramicSpeed Bearings, needs to be pressed in. The BBright bottom bracket comes with either CeramicSpeed Standard or Coated Bearings installed. Super smooth, super-round CeramicSpeed Balls contained in hardened-steel races are found on both versions. The Coated version has a metallic coating laid onto the races, making it even smoother and harder, resulting in lower drag and longer life. BBright is similar to BB30, but is wider on the non-drive side. As such, the bottom bracket for running 24mm diameter cranks from Shimano, FSA, and others, is unique. The CeramicSpeed Standard Bearings last at least three times longer than other bearings.
